iPhone 14 & 14 Plus: A Comprehensive Guide to Their Features
The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus are older flagship iPhones that were originally offered alongside the higher-end iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max models. Now that the Pro models have been discontinued, the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus remain as more affordable options compared to the latest iPhone 16 and iPhone 15 series.
Apple discontinued the "mini" iPhone in 2022, and the iPhone 14 lineup now consists of 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch models. The larger 6.7-inch model is called the "iPhone 14 Plus," reminiscent of the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus. Both iPhone 14 models maintain the same design as their predecessors, the iPhone 13 models, with flat edges, an aluminum body, and a glass back for wireless charging.
The iPhone 14 and 14 Plus come in blue, purple, midnight, starlight, and (PRODUCT)RED. Apple also added a yellow color in March 2023. Both models have a notch at the top of the display that houses the TrueDepth camera. They feature Super Retina XDR OLED displays with 1200 nits peak brightness, a 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio, Dolby Vision, and True Tone support. However, unlike the Pro models, the standard iPhone 14 models do not have ProMotion display technology.
